    From a ballet teachers retreat organized by Esther Igho Oladipupo the director of Kingdom Ballet Company, the Association of Ballet Teachers of Nigeria was birthed.

    The Founder Esther Igho Oladipupo shared her vision of bringing ballet teachers of Nigeria under one roof to achieving a common goal. She titled it " BUILDING  A DANCE COMMUNITY FOR BALLET TEACHERS IN NIGERIA "  She explained how so much can be achieved as an association, creating a learning environment for ballet teachers to attain professionalism in the art.  Offering environments that support growth in a positive way such as, ballet teachers retreat for member teachers, attending teachers training and workshops in local, national and international avenues, making sure all member teacher strives for excellence, giving members a recognition in Nigeria  and abroad, creating opportunities for their student, harmonizing the relationship among teachers with same interests by encouraging collaboration and partnership among members of the association. 

    She also stressed on the association creating amazing opportunities for dancers to attain world standard professionalism in their training so as to be able to get a spot in major dance companies. Such opportunities as, dance conventions for all member studios, dance competitions in local, national and international platforms, attending international training and workshops, securing local, national and international scholarships in the art etc. And so much more that members could benefit from the association. 

    "Who we are" 

    We are Association of Ballet Teachers of Nigeria (ABTN), a registered non for-profit and non-political organisation, building a dance community for ballet teachers of Nigeria to work closely together in achieving a common goal "professionalism in oneness". This is to enable us train Profesional dancers for the dance and art industry in Nigeria and abroad. We became an association officially on 26TH MARCH 2019. 


    Our aim

     *is to educate our teachers to be able to teach the dance art correctly at a professional level which corresponds to the world recognized standard. Extending various professional training opportunities to our students. 

    *To unite and foster peace among members for a friendly learning environment which promotes growth. 

    *To bring out the best in dancers and encourage youths to participate in ballet dance as a career in Nigeria. 

    *To work towards meeting the International standard in ballet dance for the purpose of competition.
